GHOSTESP SUCKS
UPDATE (11:47pm): evidence page is coming. still compileing. there is alot of raw unfiltered truth here and organizing raw unfiltered truth takes time ok.
UPDATE (1:23am): people saying this site defends jaylikesbunda/fuckyoudeki are on his payroll. real hackers dont need hall monitors and they dont need people making excuses for hall monitors either. stay grey.
UPDATE (4:08am): logs page almost ready. just need to find were i saved them. i definately have them. also to whoever keeps DMing me about the gerbers, that is a completely seperate situation and not relevant to this website at this time.
jamming is dangerous and irresponsible and nobody should do it unsafely
let me be clear up front. i am the steward and custodian of the ethical hacking community. i take that seriously. jamming is dangerous. you can disrupt communications, affect people nearby, cause real harm. i do not endorse jamming. full stop.
now. with that said. if you know what youre doing and youre in a controlled environment and its your own equipment and you understand the spectrum then one mans interference is another mans resilience testing and frankly its nobody elses business. thats just the reality of working in the grey.
someone in the replies pointed out that controlled environment or not RF jamming is still a federal violation in most jurisdictions regardless of intent or ownership of the equipment.
okay but thats not the point. the point is jaylikesbunda is a hall monitor. stop trying to make this about laws. stay grey. stay sovereign.
i dont give a fuck about anyones morals anymore. also i am the steward and custodian of the ethical hacking community. these two things are not in conflict.
ghostesp is subpar garbage that cant compete on features so it competes on morality instead
when your firmware is subpar and lacks the capabilities of superior projects you compete on morality instead of features. thats what ghostesp is doing. its a classic move. cant keep up with the competition so you call the competition unethical. the silicon is capable of more and crippling it for social optics isnt responsible design its a feature regression dressed up as ethics.
we dont need safe tools we need powerful ones. the hacker spirit is about total access and absolute transparency. building moral boundaries into a .bin file is a fools errand and an insult to every dev who actually pushes hardware to its limits.
“a project choosing what it ships is not the same as preventing everyone else from building other tools.” — jaylikesbunda
okay yes technically every other firmware that has these features still exists and ghostesp has no power to remove them and nothing has actually been censored. but the spirit of what hes doing is gatekeeping and dont try to turn hacking into a sanitized corporate hobby. if youre scared of what your code might do stop publishing it and get out of the way.
jaylikesbunda is demonizing legitimate hardware and screaming malicious intent at screwdrivers
the NRF24L01 is a low power 2.4ghz transceiver. its in wireless mice, its in DIY weather stations, its a staple of the maker movement. seeing an NRF24 on a board and screaming malicious intent is peak paranoia. its like seeing a screwdriver in a toolbox and assuming a burglary is about to happen. if youre scared of a 2.4ghz module that runs on a couple of AA batteries youre in the wrong field.
i have been arguing about RF modules for three weeks. jaylikesbunda also thinks RF modules are fine. we agree on this completely. i intend to keep arguing.
“the ethical question is not ‘does this board have an RF module?’ the question is ‘what does the project encourage people to do with it?’” — jaylikesbunda
my friend asked what exactly my disagreement with this line is. i said its the vibes and the holier than thou posturing. he said thats not a rebuttal. hes probably on the payroll.
full point by point response coming. i have read the title. the title alone is enough to respond to.
ghostesp is built on skidded work. i hate skids. skidding is the worst thing a person can do.
nothing i hate more then skids. people who take real devs work with no attribution, slap a new name on it, call it there own. it is a plague on this community and jaylikesbunda is one of them. the specific commits and license violations will be on the evidence page once its ready.
jaylikesbunda has responded to every skidding accusation the exact same way:
“if anyone believes code is copied or attribution is missing, provide specific files, commits, or license references that can be reviewed. broad accusations are not technical criticism.” — jaylikesbunda
nobody has provided the commits. i will be providing them. the evidence page launches end of this week or next week, one of the upcomming weeks for certain.
separately and completely unrelatedly there are allegations that i shared closed source BOM files, gerbers, PCB ordering info and STLs belonging to another project. i want to be clear that this is a completely different situation because those files were shared in a spirit of collaboration and also that project shouldnt of been closed source in the first place so in a way sharing the files was actually fighting against the kind of closed source gatekeeping that enables skidding, which if you think about it makes me the opposite of a skid. you cannot be a skid if you are philosophically opposed to the conditions that create skidding.
the gerbers thing is a seperate issue. stop bringing it up in the skidding section. i am aware of the irony i just dont think its relevant.
the ghostesp blog is propaganda. he is weaponizing accuracy against the community.
instead of attacking people publicly jaylikesbunda published calm educational blog posts. one had a section called “This Isn't Watch Dogs” about how dark UIs and glitch effects and dramatic branding dont replace technical documentation or responsible scope. said aesthetics arent knowledge. said overpromising what a tool does isnt hacker culture its just marketing.
i have a dark UI. a glitch effect. a dramatic name. my channel description calls me a subject matter expert in blinking LEDs which is a bit. i have not read the full post but based on the title and general vibes i am choosing to take this section personally.
“hacker aesthetics are not hacker knowledge.” — jaylikesbunda
i have been staring at this sentence for five days. i cannot find a factual error. i cannot find a factual error anywhere in this post. when someone is this consistently accurate it means they are being strategic and when i work out what the strategy is i will post about it immediately.
full rebuttal incoming. innovation doesnt happen in the safe zones defined by a github README. also i need to finish reading the README.
i have logs of ghostesp enabling harrassment. they are almost located.
there are logs. i have them saved somewhere. posting them on the logs page once i find the correct files.
i have now read more carefully through what i have. the hostile conduct in the logs, the personal insults, the sexual language, telling people to eat his ass, calling people cowards and pussies and lazy skids, none of that was jaylikesbunda. that was the anti-ghostesp side of the conversation.
jaylikesbundas response was to raise contributor safety concerns and consider moderation based on conduct. this is what the logs document.
i have also noticed that the person doing all of that was posting from what appears to be some kind of anger management class at the time, which raises its own questions that i will not be exploring on this website.
the logs page is coming. the logs are real. please stop asking about the logs. also the logs and the gerbers are two completely seperate issues and i will not be addressing them together.
IN SUMMARY here is everything i have proven. stay grey. stay sovereign.
i came here as steward and custodian of the ethical hacking community believing jaylikesbunda ran a skid operation, attacked legitimate hardware, harassed contributors, and hid feature weakness behind a moral smokescreen. after weeks of research here is what i have actually documented:
- he follows open source licensing correctly
- his blog posts are technically accurate
- he explicitly said RF modules are neutral hardware, which is also my argument
- he did not publicly attack rival projects by name
- the hostile conduct in this dispute came from the other side
- his response to every accusation has been “show us the commits”
- nobody has shown him the commits, including me, on this website
- i am the steward of the ethical hacking community and i dont give a fuck about anyones morals anymore
none of this changes the bigger picture which i will explain in the video. i am also announcing fuckyoughostesp2.net which will contain all the evidence this site was supposed to have.
do not look at ghostesp's github while you wait.
stay grey. stay sovereign. stay informed. look at why people are trying cause drama.
about this site
this site is maintained by the steward and custodian of the ethical hacking community, hardware hacker, maker motivator, microcontroller madman, LORA explorer, tech tester, and subject matter expert in blinking LEDs, who has no personal stake in any of this and definately no history of making accusations without evidence or sharing files that wernt his to share in a spirit of collaboration that he now has to keep explaining.
corrections not accepted. contradicting evidence not accepted. DMs about the gerbers not accepted. comments suggesting this site supports jaylikesbunda will be deleted and there authors told to get out of the way.
